Benefits of Creating Art

“I completely fell in love with the concept of this business, there was so much potential with Arty Club and an endless amount of possibilities that I could do with it. Pottery, Painting and creating art is such a great activity for all ages. As the more ‘ important’ aspects to our day-to-day lives ( i.e work, social life, the gym, phones and technology)become the main focus, people tend to become lost and don’t have a moment to sit back, think and reflect … Creating something visual really helps us ‘humans’ stop, relax and be present. Very few of us take time out to explore and express the creative side of ourselves and painting is a very therapeutic output. After 15 minutes of painting it becomes almost like a meditation. Personally, creating art makes me feel so mentally clear and present. Art therapy is excellent for mental health and in some cases is more effective than psychotherapy sessions. I believe that painting and drawing is a form of meditation and creating Art could be considered to have similar mental health benefits as practising yoga”

My four children had a most wonderful time painting pottery. The adorable dog was an added bonus. Would really recommend Arty club for an afternoon’s activity.
