Benefits of Creating Art

“I completely fell in love with the concept of this business, there was so much potential with Arty Club and an endless amount of possibilities that I could do with it. Painting and Creating art is such a great activity for all ages. As the more ‘important’ aspects in our day-to-day lives (i.e work, social life, exercise, phones and technology ) become the main focus, people tend to become lost and don’t have a moment to sit back, think and reflect. Creating something visual really helps us ‘humans’ stop, relax and be present. Very few of us take time out to explore and express the creative side to ourselves. Painting and 'Creating Art’ is a very therapeutic output, after 15 minutes of painting it becomes almost like a meditation. Personally, creating art makes me feel so mentally clear, focused and present. Art therapy is excellent for mental health and in some cases is more effective than psychotherapy sessions. ‘Creating Art’ could be considered to have similar mental health benefits as practising yoga”
